Angel's Blood, a Guild Hunter Novel

By Nalini Singh

Vampire hunter Elena Deveraux knows she's the best—but she doesn't know if she's good enough for this job. Hired by the dangerously beautiful Archangel Raphael, a being so lethal that no mortal wants his attention, only one thing is clear—failure is not an option...even if the task is impossible. Because this time, it's not a wayward vamp she has to track. It's an archangel gone bad. The job will put Elena in the midst of a killing spree like no other…and pull her to the razor's edge of passion. Even if the hunt doesn't destroy her, succumbing to Raphael's seductive touch just may. For when archangels play, mortals break…

As a huge fan of the Pys/Changeling series (another series by Nalini Singh), I knew that this series would be another winner. Singh delivers another fantasic world where angels and vampires are the norm and a select few humans are born to hunt. Vampires are Made by Angels and Archangels who then have to fulfil their contracts of servitude for 100 years. When vampires try to run from their contracts, the Guild Hunters are hired to bring them back in.

The Angels and Archangels are by no means "angels." In fact, everyone fears them, from humans to vampires and even the guild hunters. There is no mercy and the punishments are something out of a horror story. But Nalini Singh brings the passion when Archangel, Raphael, hires Guild Hunter, Elena, to bring in their biggest threat yet.

Angel's Blood is not only a great story, but the descriptive way Nalini writes about this world and it's characters is some of the best yet. From the emotions to the wings of angels, you can actually see the characters as they move through the book. The best thing about Nalini Singh, is her way to bring you into her worlds and take you on a rollercoaster ride all the way from beginning to end.

Don't miss Angel's Pawn the companion novella to Angel's Blood
